What to Expect
Before your session
Once your Picture Day reservation is confirmed, you’ll hear from me with helpful details to make your experience smooth and enjoyable. You’re always welcome to communicate as much or as little as you’d like — I’m here if you need guidance, outfit feedback, or simply reassurance along the way.
About a week before Picture Day, you’ll receive an email with detailed location directions, parking tips, and arrival instructions. When helpful, I may also include short videos to make finding the location simple and completely stress-free.
My biggest recommendation? Keep the day relaxed. Kids can sense stress, and Picture Day is intentionally designed to feel easy, natural, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
After your session
Within about two weeks, you’ll receive your fully edited online gallery.
Your gallery will include at least 25 carefully curated images (often more). From there, you can download, share, print, and preserve your memories however you’d like.
These are the images families frame, gift to grandparents, include in holiday cards, and hold onto for years to come.
If you ever need your photos sooner for a special occasion, you’re always welcome to reach out. I’m happy to help when possible.
During your session
Picture Day sessions are designed to be short, relaxed, and fun — especially for little ones.
When you arrive, I’ll guide you through everything. You don’t need to worry about posing, where to stand, or what to do with your hands. I gently direct movement and interaction while also leaving space for natural moments to unfold.
Children don’t need to sit perfectly or smile on command. Some of the most meaningful photos come from play, snuggles, and genuine connection.
Sessions are intentionally scheduled to match children’s attention spans while still capturing a beautiful variety of images. Your only job is to be present, connect with your family, and enjoy the experience.
Inclement weather
Because Picture Day sessions take place outdoors, weather occasionally requires adjustments. Your family’s comfort and safety always come first.
If Picture Day needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather, you will receive options to choose from. Typically, the event is rescheduled to a new date at the same location whenever possible. If additional alternatives are available, those will also be shared with you.
I communicate weather decisions as early as possible to help families plan with confidence and flexibility.
