Frequently Asked Questions

How many photos do we receive?

Every Picture Day session includes at least 25 fully edited images, and most families receive even more. I carefully curate your gallery to include the strongest, most meaningful moments from your session — so you receive a beautiful, well-rounded collection of images you’ll truly love.

When is the next Picture Day?

Picture Day reservations typically open 1–2 months in advance and often fill quickly. The best way to see upcoming dates and locations is to check the website, where new sessions are posted as they become available.

Where do we meet on Picture Day?

We’ll meet directly at the session location. Prior to Picture Day, you’ll receive a detailed email with directions, parking tips, and any helpful arrival instructions. When helpful, I also include short videos to make finding the location easy and stress-free.

How soon will we get our images?

Galleries are typically delivered within two weeks of your session. If you need your photos sooner for a special occasion or deadline, just let me know — I’m always happy to accommodate when possible.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely! Furry family members are always welcome. If you plan to bring your dog, I simply recommend bringing a leash, treats, and possibly an extra helper who can hold them when they’re not in photos.

What if my child doesn’t cooperate?

Honestly… that’s completely normal and expected.

Picture Day sessions are designed around real kids being real kids. They don’t need to sit perfectly, smile on command, or behave a certain way for us to create beautiful photos.

I’ve photographed hundreds of families, and I use gentle guidance, play, movement, and patience to capture genuine moments… not forced smiles. Some of the most loved images actually come from kids being playful, curious, or snuggled close to their parents.

The sessions are intentionally short to match children’s attention spans, and I build in extra time so there’s space for kids to warm up naturally

Your only job is to show up, stay relaxed, and enjoy your family. When parents stay calm, kids almost always follow that energy.

And if your child needs a moment, we simply go with the flow. That’s where real connection — and the most meaningful photos — usually happens.

What should we wear?

In general, I recommend:

• Soft, neutral, or earthy tones
• Coordinated colors (not perfectly matching outfits)
• Comfortable clothing that allows movement and play
• Simple, timeless pieces without large logos or busy patterns

The goal is for your family to look cohesive while still feeling like yourselves.

If you’re ever unsure, you’re always welcome to send me outfit photos before your session. I’m happy to help you choose options that photograph best and make you feel confident.

Most importantly — wear something you feel comfortable and beautiful in. When you feel good, it naturally shows in your photos.

My kid is sick! What do I do?

I completely understand — kids (and parents!) getting sick is unavoidable sometimes. If this happens, please email or text me as soon as possible so we can discuss options. The health and comfort of your family (and other families) always comes first.

We have a big family. There will be 10 people. Is that okay?

Larger families are always welcome! With bigger groups, sessions naturally focus more on group and small-group combinations, which may mean slightly less time for candid or individual moments. If you’re comfortable with that balance, I’m happy to accommodate and will always prioritize capturing the most meaningful groupings for your family.

Do you have Picture Days in L.A.?

Currently, Picture Days are offered in Orange County and Riverside County. If you’re located in Los Angeles, you’re absolutely welcome to book an à la carte session, and I’d love to photograph your family there.

I have a one year old. Is that okay?

It’s more than okay — Picture Day sessions are designed with young children in mind. I use a relaxed, flexible approach that allows little ones to warm up naturally. If there are any special needs or accommodations that would help your child feel comfortable, please feel free to share them with me ahead of time.

What if we’re late?

Picture Day sessions are scheduled back-to-back to keep the day running smoothly for all families. As long as you arrive within your reserved time slot, we can absolutely still capture beautiful photos for you.

That said, arriving late will reduce your shooting time, which may result in fewer images in your final gallery since sessions cannot be extended into the next family’s time.

If you think you might be running late, please reach out as soon as possible. I’ll always do my best to help you have a wonderful experience within the time we have together.

To help your session feel relaxed and unrushed, I recommend planning to arrive about 5–10 minutes early to allow time for parking, last-minute outfit adjustments, and getting little ones settled.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

If you need to cancel, simply send me an email and we’ll figure out the best next step together. I understand that life happens, and I always aim to be as fair and flexible as possible while honoring the limited availability of Picture Day sessions.
